If you are in the South FL, Miami area or want to shop online, JSG has your City Rhythm Fragrance. As you might have noticed, all of City Rhythm’s perfumes draw inspiration through a city’s story. For example, the latest release of City Rhythm’s Martha’s Vineyard holds an "old money scent that captivates the user to Martha’s Vineyard Massachusetts." with its vibrant fragrance which opens with "plum and orange zest [filling] the air with their luminosity, while black coconut sets the tone for the tropical ambiance".

More About City Rhythm Fragrance

You also have perfumes like Nashville which draw inspiration from a drink. As Mr. Ramadhin states it "When I was in the Virgin Islands, I gained insight into a drink that originated there and found its way to Tennessee, where it quickly became known as the Nashville Bushwacker. So I asked myself, ‘How do I turn a tropical drink, reimagined in the famous MUSIC CITY into a fragrance?’ it's a beautiful thing when one city inspires another city's scent." [4] The Nashville perfume’s notes include "notes of vanilla, mocha, and coffee with musk, citrus, and berry to create a complex, alluring fragrance composition." [4] You can see how City Rhythm’s perfumes draw inspiration from cities through the notes and description that accompany each perfume.

City Rhythm's Brand History

City Rhythm was founded by Niles D. Ramadhin. Mr. Ramadhin was born in the Caribbean Islands of Trinidad & Tobago. At the age of 12, Mr. Ramadhin migrated to Manhattan where he worked many years. One of the most notable lines from his profile on the City Rhythm Fragrance Website, was how hard he worked when he was "easily exploited and most of [his] childhood was spent laboring at the jobs so many others deemed unworthy of their time."[1] This is the story for many immigrants when first arriving to this country, though many of them are still grateful for being given the opportunity at hard labor. Mr. Ramadhin found strength in smelling good, and he saved up diligently to buy his first Gucci Pour Homme 2. "Smelling good was transformative", says Mr. Ramadhin, and felt "important and worthy of [his] own dreams..."[1]. We can see here where Mr. Ramadhin's passion for perfume took a root from.

This image is composed of three images, one with 3 City Rhythm perfume bottles lined up side to side (2654, Miami, and another version of City Rhythm Miami), the next picture is of Jean from JSG spraying the City Rhythm perfume in his perfume shop, and the last image is of Jean's hand reaching for the City Rhythm perfume bottle in his perfume shop.

City Rhythm's Fragrances Inspiration

According to 24-7pressrelease.com, the City Rhythm brand was formed in the year 2021. [2] On City Rhythm’s website, you can see where the perfumes draw inspiration from: "The art and the magic of fragrance are such that through it one can feel awash in endless possibilities; a self-empowerment that drowns troubles away and intrinsically forces your head up high." This self-empowerment is something that Mr. Ramadhin seeks to empower every City Rhythm’s user with. What Mr.Ramadhin accomplishes through City Rhythm’s perfumery is to create perfumes inspired by cities, just as the city of Manhattan inspired him to become who he is today with "the many who treated [him] kindly, and encouraged [him] in a vision of a brighter future for [himself]." [1].

As you might have noticed, all of City Rhythm’s perfumes draw inspiration through a city’s story. For example, the latest release of City Rhythm’s Martha’s Vineyard holds an "old money scent that captivates the user to Martha’s Vineyard Massachusetts." with its vibrant fragrance which opens with “plum and orange zest [filling] the air with their luminosity, while black coconut sets the tone for the tropical ambiance"[3].

Having lived most of my life 10 minutes from Miami, I find City Rhythm’s Miami and City Rhythm Miami’s Tropical Confessions accurate. The notes are descriptive of what a typical afternoon in the beach area would be like. With hints of Coconut, Vanilla, and Rum, Mr. Ramadhin hits the spot. These scents are indicative of what a summer afternoon near the beach in Miami feel, smell, and taste like. It is safe to say by reading the notes on perfumes like Miami and Miami Tropical Confessions, and having lived in Miami, that City Rhythm’s draws of inspiration are meaningful.

Additionally, I was able to find a LinkedIn account with Mr. Ramadhin’s name that matches his profile. According to this LinkedIn account, Mr. Ramadhin has been a lead therapist at Head and Stone Massage and Facial Spa since November 2015. [5]

Mr Ramadhin’s Instagram is @_cityrhythm_ and there you can find multiple posts about his brand with individual perfumes being promoted plus reposts from other accounts which also promote City Rhythm’s brand.

Another blog post which I found on Mr. Ramadhin was on shoutoutdfw.com The article is titled Meet Niles Ramadhin | Founder and creator of City Rhythm LLC". This article is a dialogue between the writer at shoutoutdfw and Mr Ramadhin. Throughout the article, ShoutOut DFW asks Mr. Ramadhin questions like "what does he attribute your success to?", "what can [he] share with our community?", and interesting questions like "Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them?"

Another interesting fact that we ran across on the internet was by looking at Fragrantica’s profile on Mr. Ramadhin. That is that Mr. Ramadhin collaborated on a perfume with Emily Schab named Heart Spark for the Shelter In Perfume brand. [7] The Heart Spark perfume was launched in 2022. Shelter in Perfume was founded by Emily Schaber during the Covid pandemic of 2020.

We hope you have learned something from the City Rhythm brand and its founder Niles Ramadhin. By reading through this collection you should have gained a broad understanding on the brand’s and creator’s history, where Mr. Ramadhin draws inspiration from, and some information that is publicly available on the internet about the brand’s creator and the brand itself. Remember, smelling good is the motto!
