Uomo Salvatore Ferragamo
A note on the name first: this page is titled after the fragrance, not the house. Uomo is a Salvatore Ferragamo scent, and the single bottle here is the Uomo Salvatore Ferragamo Eau de Parfum in 100 ml.
Ferragamo built his name on shoes in Florence, having spent years in California making footwear for silent film actors before returning to Italy in 1927. The fragrance arm arrived much later, and Uomo, launched in 2016, is one of its most successful releases.
It is a gourmand for men that does not go overboard. Black pepper and cardamom open it, there is an orange blossom heart, and the base is where it earns its reputation - a tiramisu accord of coffee, cocoa and cream over tonka bean and sandalwood. Worn lightly it reads as warm and clean rather than dessert like, which makes it usable in an office. Worn heavily on a cool night it becomes something else entirely.
The bottle is offered with 5 ml and 10 ml decants, so you can find out which of those two experiences you actually want.
You will find Ferragamo Signorina on our Salvatore page as well. Both can be ordered online, and both sit on the shelf in Miami Gardens.
