Polo Ralph Lauren
Ralph Lauren started with neckties in 1967 and Polo Green followed in 1978 - a green, leathery, pine and tobacco scent in a dark bottle that defined a certain kind of American masculinity for a generation. The line has moved a long way since, but the Polo name still carries that association.
Polo Blue is what most of this page is about. It arrived in 2003 from Carlos Benaim as the aquatic answer to the original, built on cucumber, melon and verbena over suede and moss - light, clean, and about as inoffensive as a fragrance for men can be while still having a character.
