Moschino Toy
Franco Moschino spent the eighties making fun of fashion from inside it - teddy bear motifs, oversized question marks, jackets printed with the word waist. The house still trades on that humour, and the Toy line is the clearest example: a bear shaped bottle that is genuinely funny to have on a dresser, containing a perfectly serious fragrance.
Three listings here. Toy 2 in 100 ml is the pale green one, a clean floral musk with apple, magnolia and amberwood, about as easy to wear as modern perfume for women gets. Toy 2 Pearl in 3.4 oz is its softer sibling, sweeter and creamier with a milky, almost peachy character. Toy Boy comes as a four piece gift set for men - the spicy, rosy pepper and woods one in the transparent bear bottle.
Toy 2 and Toy 2 Pearl are both listed with 5 ml and 10 ml decants. They are close enough relatives that trying them side by side in small sizes is the only reliable way to pick.
The bottles are also, plainly, good to give, which is half of why the line has done as well as it has.
