Roberto Cavalli
Roberto Cavalli trained as a painter and brought that to clothing. The animal prints, the patchwork leather and the sandblasted denim all came out of printing techniques he developed himself in the sixties. The fragrances have generally followed the same maximalist instinct, with the Gemme work aiming at something more refined.
We carry Gemme Di Paradiso, one bottle. It is a warm, sensual composition in the Cavalli manner, floral and resinous, with a base that lingers rather than fading politely. It is built for evening and it does not do subtlety, which is rather the point of the house.
