Dunhill Absolute
Alfred Dunhill inherited a saddlery in 1893 and turned it into a London house selling motoring gear, then pipes, tobacco and leather. The name still carries that particular English idea of masculinity - clubbable, understated, faintly smoky - and the fragrances have generally worked in that register.
We have one: Dunhill Absolute. It is a warm, woody oriental fragrance for men, spice and resin over a base that holds onto the skin rather than projecting hard. This is not a fresh sporty scent and it is not trying to be. It suits evenings, cooler weather, and anyone who would rather smell refined than smell noticeable.
One product means one product, and we would rather be straightforward about that than pad the page. The wider Dunhill catalogue includes the Icon and Desire lines, but Absolute is what is on our shelf right now.
