The line is made for people who like their fragrance loud and long lasting, and it delivers that without much subtlety. Ace and Royale sit in sweet amber and vanilla territory. Boston and High Roller are the woodier, more tobacco driven ones. Emerald, Opal and Yellow Sapphire form the gemstone sub set, and Queen is the eau de parfum aimed at women where the rest of the line skews masculine or shared.

Because the naming gives you almost nothing to go on, decants matter here more than usual. Most of the Game of Spades bottles are listed with 5 ml and 10 ml options, and working through four or five small ones is how most people find their favourite.
