Diane Castel
Diane Castel is a small French house, the kind that never built an international marketing operation and gets passed along mostly by word of mouth. The work is unmistakably Parisian in the older sense - powdery, floral, composed for a woman who is dressing rather than performing.
We carry one bottle: Poudre d Ivoire Bouquet. The name tells you what it is. This is an ivory powder floral, soft focus and close to the skin, with the talc and petal quality that has largely gone out of fashion in mainstream perfumery and is exactly why the people who love it are loyal to it. It does not announce itself across a room. It sits on you and stays there.
One product is one product, and we are not going to dress that up. If you are looking for a wide Diane Castel selection, this is not it. If you have been searching for this particular bottle, which is not easy to find in the United States, we have it.
It works best on cooler evenings, or in air conditioning, where powdery florals hold their shape better than they do in direct Miami sun.
