Sol de Janeiro
Sol de Janeiro was founded in 2015 by three people who wanted to bottle Brazilian beach culture, and it did something clever. Instead of launching a perfume it launched a body cream, Brazilian Bum Bum, and let the scent do the marketing. People kept asking what the cream smelled like, and the fragrance mists followed.
Both of our listings are mists rather than eau de parfums, which matters. They are lighter, meant for hair and body, and designed to be reapplied through the day rather than sprayed twice in the morning.
Cheirosa 62 in 90 ml is the famous one - pistachio, salted caramel and vanilla, warm and edible and immediately recognisable to anyone who has been near the body cream. Cheirosa 59 Delicia Drench in 240 ml is the newer, creamier one, leaning on toasted coconut and vanilla with a fuller, more lotion like feel.
Both are offered in 5 ml and 10 ml decant sizes as well as the full bottles.
These make sense in this city. A hair and body mist in a Miami summer is often more practical than a heavy eau de parfum, and it survives a beach bag.
