Let’s write some research looking into the story of Michael Malul. According to an interview by Billy Langsworthy published on March 3rd, 2024, Hanan Malul is the Founder and CEO of Michael Malul. “It’s as much a science as an art”, explains Mr. Malul. While sitting down for an interview with BrandsUntapped [1], Mr. Malul explains that the company “strives for the mastery of fragrance”. Michael Malul does this by bringing “luxury, high quality fragrances to the masses without compromise.” A phrase that is not to be taken lightly, looking at the revenue figures provided by ZoomInfo.com [2], less than $5million USD, and also looking at the fact that ESW[3], points out that their fragrances are currently over 1,500 stores all over the country.
Before you continue, why don't you take a look at our Michael Malul London collection here?
Also, according to ESW, the Michael Malul London Brand is a “very-close knit company work culture”. This is good to hear. Sometimes you don’t know what it actually means though. One thing that ESW DOES mention however is that, during product development, each member of the team sits down for a “smelling session”, in order to give the new scents a rating. It’s good to be heard. Additionally, after looking at the only Glassdoor review [4] there is on Michael Malul London, the “Anonymous Intern” has reviewed working at Michael Malul London as five-star experience, mentioning that he really was not able to find any cons at working for Michael Malul London, and the he found the work environment “good and positive”. There are also two Salaries reported at the company, one is for Social Content Strategist which ranges from $63,000 to $101,000 a year, and the Project Coordinator position which ranges from $46,000 to $71,000 a year. It does not make much sense if you ask me, how does a Project Coordinator earn less than a Social Content Strategist?
Anyhow, in consonance with the media outlet TenSpace, Michael Malul recently invited guests to “find the fragrances that revealed their real self.” In a night full of close friends, and a lot of fragrance, Michael Malul London’s focus was on “matching [people’s] personalities’ to scent moods to learning the powerful science of scent connections”. There’s a lot of pictures and I recommend you checkout the full “Sip & Scent” coverage by TenSpace here. In another public event, Michael Malul also recently launched a collaboration collection with Esquire[1]. Together they’ve launched a new collection consisting of four scents. These scents are “American Novelist, Modern Poet, New Journalist, and Editor in Chief.” During the interview with BrandsUntapped, the founder of the brand goes on to explain how they designed each of the brand’s new fragrances. You can find the full interview here [1].
The final thought about the Michael Malul London brand is what doe people think about the brand. So I looked up some product reviews from the Fragrantica.com website. Some of the reviews read along the lines of “I work at a perfume store and we just got these scents in. No doubt my fav so far”, from user KateAllen08, or a review like “This perfume is perfect for a night out. It has a black opium/flowerbomb/la vie este belle vibe. It's sweet but not like candy. Great scent” from user zoe_beth_love. Additionally, while looking at ratings in Google Shopping, I was able to see that most of their perfumes rank 4 or more stars.
Here at JeanSmellGood.com we have a couple of fragrances for Michael Malul London and we recently did a review on one of their fragrances. Sangria by Michael Malul London. Here you can see the video!
