In this particular blog post, we’ll be learning a bit about what makes Afnan the brand it is. To begin with, Afnan perfumes was founded by Imran Fazlani. At Afnan perfumes, Imran Fazlani is also the Managing Director [1]. In an interview with Russian Interviewer Sergey Borisov, Fazlani explains a bit more about his Afnan brand Fazlani explains that his brand “spent 15 years exploring the market” and they would explore brands that they’d be the most passionate about. With all this exploring, Fazlani goes on to explain to Borisov, he was able to come up with new ideas along with his partners. [2]
Fazlani does not have a Wikipedia page, so we were not able to gather a lot about his persona. Being intrigued by his character, we were able to get the following from Afnan’s official webpage; The Afnan Perfumes brand was founded in 2007, not so long ago.In his interview with Borisov, that I mentioned up above, the first thing that Borisov asks Afnan’s owner is in regards the comparisons people make with his perfumes and other brands. To this Fazlani gives the explanation about how he’s spent the last 15 years with the brand exploring perfumes in order to come to the fruition of the Afnan’s brands own fragrance.

In their website, Afnan goes on to explain that their brand reflects a “unique and crafted experience”. This feeling of crafted uniqueness, Imran Fazlani goes on to support his previous point of exploration in the market over the last 15 years. “Afnan has built a generation of perfume expertise through a brand driven by an explorer spirit”. This statement goes on to support the answer he gives to the interviewer in the Fragrantica Website interview by Sergey Borisov. During the interview, Falzani goes on to explain that although being inspired by other perfumeries was essential to his success, the brand now has set their feet in establishing more fresh scents as you can find in their “Our Highness” collection. Additionally, he explains that his fragrance Tribute Blue, is also an original idea that is also one of their biggest hits! One can see how being inspired by other artists is important in this world by reading Falzani’s interview.
What else is there to learn about Afnan? Well as we already mentioned the brand was founded in 2007, so it only makes it 18 years old. While competing with other more established brands, Afnan has established itself as a “global leader in the fragrance industry”. [3] Let’s also explore the fact that according to LinkedIn, the brand has around 201-500 employees as listed in Linked in. Listed under Apparel & Fashion, the brand also has 5,000 followers and it’s based off of Ajman, UAE. You can also see in their Linked in profile that their fragrances are made locally, which means they’re made in Ajman. It’s quite interesting to look at this. For example, you can see in their Linkedn, their connections show that 30 people are working in sales, 21 in operations, 8 in marketing, 5 in administrative roles, 5 in arts and design, 5 in business development, 4 in accounting, 4 in education, 2 in purchasing, 2 in research, 1 in finance, 1 in human resources, 1 in media and communication, and 1 in product management.
Their latest post in LinkedIn wishes their followers a Happy Easter and was liked by 25 followers. Some of the people that liked this post include a Sales Representative from PIY Ribbons, Shaikh Mohammed Saled, a packaging & graphic DEsigner at Surrati Perfume, and Sanatkekumar Nicoth, a Sales Manager at Savvinova Pack & Labels Industry LLC.
