Creed
Creed has been making perfume since 1760, which is long enough that its house style predates most of the categories used to describe fragrance today. The signature is a certain transparency: fruit and greenery kept bright, woods kept dry, very little sweetness anywhere. It reads as clean and expensive rather than loud, and it is the reason people who wear Creed tend to stay with it.
Aventus is the modern centre of the house and the reason many people search for Creed perfume at all. Pineapple and birch over smoky musk, it appears here in the original eau de parfum alongside Aventus Cologne, the fresher take, Aventus Absolu, the concentrated one, and Aventus For Her. Around it sit the classics that built the reputation: Green Irish Tweed, still the benchmark for a clean green masculine, Silver Mountain Water with its tea and blackcurrant, Virgin Island Water for coconut and lime, and Royal Water.
