Origins of the Lattafa Brand

According to the Lattafa USA website, the brand was founded in the 1980s by Sheikh Shahid Ahmad and Shoaib Iqbal. The brand is a family-run business, also according the their Lattafa website, the brand is now in its 3rd family generation. 

In the lattafa-usa.com website, you can find that the brand was born from a desire to "create world-class fragrances that the richness of Arabian heritage." This caught my attention because it's a bit different from what we found on the Lattafa.com website which speaks about the brand trying to "resonate" with the Gen Z population. From their website, one can also learn that the brand is established in the UAE.

Lattafa's Founder

Regarding the founders of Lattafa perfumes, there was not a lot of publicly available information on the internet. For example, when you google "sheikh shahid ahmad lattafa" you will only get a couple of relevant unique results. The most significant sources I found were multiple Lattafa domains pointing out the founding year of the brand, the fact that it's available through 120 countries, and statements about the brands family-owned business.

Overall, there could be more publicly available information on the founders of the Lattafa brand such as Wikipedia pages and interviews. It's always nice to know about the personality of a brand. When you know the roots of what you are wearing, then you wear it with pride.
