Four names carry most of what Yves Saint Laurent does in perfume today, and each of them behaves like a small line rather than a single bottle. Knowing which of the four you are after makes this collection much easier to navigate.

Libre is lavender and orange blossom, a masculine accord worn as a feminine fragrance, and it appears here as the eau de parfum, Libre Intense, Libre Absolu Platine, Libre Flowers and Flames, and a three-piece set. Black Opium is the coffee-and-vanilla one that defined a decade of night-out perfume, available in the eau de parfum and the deeper Black Opium Intense. Mon Paris is fruity and romantic, with Mon Paris Intensement alongside it and a gift set version. MYSLF is the newest pillar, orange blossom over a modern ambery base, offered here in the eau de parfum, Le Parfum in two sizes and a two-piece set.

Around those sit the ones with longer histories. Y comes in eau de toilette and eau de parfum and a three-piece set, aromatic and clean where MYSLF is soft. Kouros remains one of the boldest masculine fragrances ever released and is not for the cautious. Baby Cat is the outlier, sweet and playful in a 4.2 oz bottle.
