Guidance 46 is what happens when a house takes a fragrance people already loved and turns down the volume while turning up the resolution. Ripe pear and bitter almond arrive first, dusted with pink pepper, and underneath them frankincense is already burning - not the dry church kind, but something resinous and slightly sweet. Hazelnut and rose water give the opening a creamy, almost edible texture that never tips into dessert. As it settles, saffron and jasmine push through, and the long finish is sandalwood, cistus and ambergris with a whisper of vanilla. Amouage calls it a study in light and shade, which is unusually accurate for marketing copy.

This is a 46 percent extrait composed by Quentin Bisch, and the concentration is not a marketing number - it changes how the fragrance behaves. Twelve hours is normal, and it is still legible on a shirt two days later. Miami humidity treats high-oil extraits generously: the moisture in the air keeps the heavier resins and woods suspended close to the skin instead of letting them collapse, so where a thinner eau de parfum would go flat by 2pm, this one just softens into a warm halo. The trade-off is that heat also amplifies the incense, so one spray outdoors in August does the work of three indoors in January. Start low. You can always add.

Cooler evenings, formal rooms, and any occasion where you want to be remembered rather than merely tolerated. It is unisex in the truest sense and it is not a fragrance for a cubicle.
