Ripe mango and fresh ginger, which sounds like a juice bar and smells like nothing of the sort. Vulcan Feu opens juicy and hot at the same time - the ginger has real burn to it, lemon and rhubarb keep the fruit from going soft, and pink pepper prickles through the middle. What keeps it from being a simple tropical fruit scent is the praline: a nutty, caramelized sweetness sitting under jasmine and violet that makes the whole thing feel richer and slightly gourmand. It lands on cedarwood, tonka and moss with an ambergris accord, which pulls it back toward woody territory just as you expect it to get sugary.

Around seven to eight hours with moderate, well-behaved projection - it is present without being aggressive. The interesting thing about wearing this in Miami is how little the climate fights it. Tropical fruit and ginger are already built for heat, and humidity keeps the mango wet and vivid rather than letting it dry into that flat candied note that fruit accords fall into in dry air.
