The name says patchouli, but do not picture a dark seventies patchouli - this is a clean modern fougere with patchouli anchoring the base. The opening is fresh and almost fizzy: lavender and bergamot with pink pepper, grapefruit, and a watery accord that gives it genuine lift. Mint and pineapple flicker through the heart alongside geranium and orange blossom. Only in the drydown does the earthy patchouli step forward, joined by frankincense, cashmere wood, vanilla, and tonka.

That fresh-fougere structure is a real advantage in Florida. Aquatic and lavender openings usually collapse in humidity, but extrait concentration keeps this one standing - six to eight hours on skin, moderate projection for the first two, then a close woody-vanilla skin scent. The mint and grapefruit read as actually cooling on a hot morning, which is not a claim most patchouli fragrances can make. In afternoon heat the base arrives faster than it would up north, so expect to be in the patchouli-and-tonka phase by early afternoon rather than evening.

Comfortably the most office-appropriate fragrance in this group. Daily wear, warm mornings, work, errands, gym bag. Unisex and uncontroversial in shared air. Year-round here, and particularly good in summer.
