Ripe peach, and a lot of it. Savannah opens on sun-warmed Georgia peach and ruby grapefruit zest - the peach is the nectar-heavy kind rather than the fuzzy-skin kind, and the grapefruit is what keeps the first twenty minutes from going cloying. Then the heart fills in with tropical fruit nectar, southern jasmine and a ripe red berry accord, and that is where it stops being a fruit basket and starts being a perfume, because the jasmine gives it lift and a slightly narcotic sweetness. The dry-down is the best part. Soft amber, white suede and silk musk turn everything creamy and skin-close, and the suede in particular lends a smooth glove-leather quality that keeps all that fruit grounded. Made IFRA compliant, free of parabens and phthalates.

Extrait concentration, and it performs like one - eight hours and up, with a noticeable trail through the first three. South Florida shifts the balance in an interesting way. Fruit notes intensify in heat while jasmine grows bigger and more indolic, so on a humid afternoon this reads considerably sweeter and more floral than it does in a cool room. The amber and suede base, by contrast, holds steady - humidity does not seem to trouble it, and it is still there at the end of a long night out. If you want the peach bright rather than jammy, spray in the evening or early morning before the heat builds.

Spring and fall are its sweet spot here, evenings year-round. Feminine-leaning but not exclusively so. Fine for the office at one or two sprays; happier at dinner, on a date, at an event.
