Royal Bleu takes the familiar blue-fragrance blueprint - bright, aromatic, freshly-showered - and slows it down with spice and wood. Green apple and bergamot start it off with a crack of black pepper and mandarin behind them, lavender doing the aromatic work. Then cardamom shows up in the heart alongside violet, jasmine and geranium, and that spice is what separates this from the crowd. The finish is warmer than the opening suggests: sandalwood, guaiac wood, patchouli, musk and a light vanilla sweetness that makes the last few hours comfortable rather than cold.

Performance runs eight hours or more, which is strong for a fresh-leaning profile. In South Florida the humidity does something specific to it: the vanilla-and-guaiac base gets pushed up much earlier than it would in a dry climate, so what starts as a crisp apple-lavender opening turns creamy and woody by the second or third hour instead of the fifth. Some people prefer it that way. If you want the fresh phase to last, spray it onto a shirt rather than bare skin and keep it off the neck, where body heat accelerates everything. It also holds up through a full day of stepping in and out of air conditioning without collapsing.

Cool weather is where it is at its best, but it is far from unwearable in a Miami summer - just be aware it will warm up fast. Office-friendly, date-friendly, and easily worn from morning meetings straight through dinner. Officially unisex; the cardamom and woods tilt it slightly masculine.
