Citrus and peach first, then a proper floral heart, then something warm and slightly dirty underneath. Club de Nuit Woman opens wide - bergamot, grapefruit and orange all at once with a soft peach folded in, bright and a little tart before the fruit rounds out. The middle is where it gets its character: geranium gives a green, faintly metallic snap that keeps jasmine and rose from turning powdery, with litchi adding a juicy top-up. The base is the surprise. Musk, patchouli, vanilla and vetiver land warmer and earthier than the opening suggests, so the fragrance travels from a bright fruity floral in the first hour to something closer to a soft woody amber by the third.

Citrus openings are always the first casualty of Miami humidity, and here that arc is worth planning around. Outdoors in July the grapefruit and orange are essentially gone within forty minutes, but that is not a loss so much as a shortcut - you land on the patchouli-and-vanilla base sooner, and that part holds seven or eight hours and survives sweat well. Indoors and in the cooler months the top notes last far longer and the whole thing reads brighter. If you want the citrus to stick around on a hot day, spray your clothes as well as your skin; fabric holds it considerably longer than a wrist will.
