The lotion is not a throwaway here, and in this climate it is arguably the most useful piece in the box. Alcohol flashes off skin very quickly in Miami heat, which is why heavy vanillas can feel enormous for an hour and then vanish; laying the lotion down first gives the fragrance something to grip and evens out that spike considerably. Expect eight to ten hours from the spray on its own and longer over lotion, with a trail that widens the moment you step outside.
