City Rhythm San Diego Extrait Parfum

City Rhythm's tribute to its Pacific coast city, and it plays the ocean straight. It opens bright and salty - ripe blood orange, juniper berries with their dry gin-like snap, a sea salt accord and a soft edge of lavender and heliotrope. The heart turns warm and smooth: almond and nutmeg over Moroccan jasmine, with coriander seed, violet leaves and iris keeping it from tipping into sweet. The base is the beach at the end of the day - beachwood, sea breeze, ambergris and warm vanilla.

If you know City Rhythm 2654, you already know half of this one - 2654 was built by fusing San Diego with City Rhythm Miami. San Diego is the fresher, more aquatic side of that pairing: the citrus, juniper and salt without the coconut and rum. That makes it the easier of the two to wear in Miami heat. It is still an extrait, so go light when it is humid - two sprays carry a long way.

Spring and summer, beach days, weekends outdoors, anywhere you want to smell clean and sunlit rather than sugary. Unisex without qualification.

The 50 ml and 100 ml bottles are City Rhythm's revised formula from May 2024, finished with shimmer in the juice and the new cap. This one comes as a full bottle only - no decant option - so the honest recommendation is to come spray it at the Miami Gardens shop before you buy.
