The start is genuinely crisp: Calabrian bergamot with cucumber and watermelon, watery and green rather than citrus-sharp, with nutmeg and ginger giving it a faint spice edge. Then it turns. Jasmine and violet come through briefly before bourbon vanilla, caramel and tonka bean take over and stay. The base is where the original's DNA shows up again — ambergris, ambrette seeds, incense and guaiac wood pulling some dryness back into all that sugar, with white musk underneath.

If you wear the original Full House for its bright citrus-and-black-tea cleanliness, this is a different fragrance wearing a familiar name. Refresh is for cooler evenings and for people who reach for gourmands. The two are worth owning together rather than choosing between.
