Mugler Angel Nova Eau De Parfum 100ml

Angel Nova is what happens when a house famous for a dessert-cart gourmand decides to make something wearable in daylight. Raspberry hits first and it is tart rather than jammy, lychee behind it keeping things juicy, and then a very clean damask rose takes over the middle and never lets the fruit turn sticky. The base is where it earns the Mugler name: akigalawood gives it a peppery, slightly woody rasp and benzoin adds just enough warmth to round the edges. Sweet, but structured.

This is a strong performer. Eight to ten hours is routine and the sillage arrives before you do, which is exactly why Miami requires some discipline with it. Heat amplifies fruity florals more aggressively than it amplifies fresh citrus, and Nova already runs rich, so two sprays in July do the work that four would do in a dry January somewhere else. The good news is that the rose and the woody base keep it from going cloying in humidity, and it clings to fabric beautifully, so linen or a light dress will carry it through a full evening outdoors without a reapplication. Summer here is a nighttime proposition for it. Anything cooler and you can wear it whenever you like.

It reads as evening more than office, though a restrained application is fine in a workplace where nobody sits closer than a desk away. Date nights, birthdays, anything where you want to be remembered by scent. Roughly November through March is its easiest stretch on this coast.

Because it projects hard, this is a fragrance worth living with before you commit to a full bottle. A 10ml decant covers a week of real wear and a 5ml covers a weekend.
