Philos Pura EDP 3.4oz
Bright citrus over something soft and unplaceable. Philos Pura opens on orange, bergamot and lemon, sharp for a few minutes and then rounding off fast, and the heart is fruit in the general sense rather than any one fruit you can name - Maison Alhambra publishes it exactly that way. What holds the composition together is the base: white musk, amber and vanilla, warm and clean and low to the skin. It is not a complicated fragrance and it does not pretend to be. It smells like showered, expensive, uncomplicated.
Top: Orange, bergamot, lemon · Heart: Fruity notes · Base: White musk, amber, vanilla
Six to eight hours, with a friendly rather than aggressive projection radius after the first hour. Citrus tops are the first casualty of Miami weather, and this one is no exception - on a genuinely hot morning the orange and lemon are largely gone inside twenty minutes and you spend the rest of the day in the musk-and-vanilla base. Fortunately that base is the durable half. Amber and white musk both hold their shape in humidity where a thin cologne accord would simply evaporate, so this survives a hot commute, an afternoon of walking around, and a change of shirt without needing a rescue. If you want the citrus to last, spray it onto fabric as well as skin and keep the bottle out of a parked car, where the top notes cook off in the bottle over a season.
Daytime, year round, and about as easy to wear as fine fragrance gets. Fully office-safe, fine at the gym, sensible on a first date where you would rather not announce yourself. Unisex without qualification.
If you are curious but not committed, the 5ml and 10ml decants cover a full week of real wear for a fraction of a bottle. You are also welcome to try it on skin at the Miami Gardens shop, which takes about a minute and settles it.
Philos Pura EDP 3.4oz - Full Bottle is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
