Rayhaan Tropical Vibe 3.4 oz Eau de Parfum
Fruit punch and rum over warm sand. Tropical Vibe opens loud and sweet - mango and pineapple leading, coconut folded through them, bergamot providing what little sharpness there is, and a rum accord that gives the whole opening a boozy, slightly caramelised edge. The heart keeps the coconut going but adds white flowers and a marine note, which is what keeps it from becoming a straight pina colada: there is salt and air in the middle of it. The base then does the grounding, with sandalwood and amber bringing warmth, vetiver adding a dry green thread, and musk smoothing the join. Rayhaan calls it a beach sunset, and that is a fair description of the arc - bright fruit at the start, warm woods by the end.
Top: Mango, pineapple, coconut, bergamot, rum · Heart: Coconut, white flowers, marine notes · Base: Musk, sandalwood, amber, vetiver
Sweet tropical fruit plus Miami humidity is a combination that needs managing. In direct August sun the mango and rum expand fast and the first hour can be genuinely enormous, far bigger than the same two sprays would be indoors. It settles though, and settles well - the marine note and vetiver cut the sugar as the day goes on, and by late afternoon you are left with a warm sandalwood-amber skin scent that runs a good seven to nine hours in total. The practical advice is simple: two sprays outdoors, three or four indoors, and spray before you dress rather than after.
Unisex and unapologetically fun. Beach days, pool afternoons, casual summer evenings, and anywhere the dress code is shorts. It is too sweet for a small office in July.
A 5ml or 10ml decant will tell you in two wears whether you want a full bottle of something this sweet, and we fill both. The tester is also on the shelf at our Miami Gardens shop.
