A Florida fragrance made by people who actually live in the weather. Flamango opens loud and bright, pink grapefruit and orange first, then mango that reads as fresh fruit rather than candy, with lemon and ginger cutting a zesty edge through the middle of it. Neroli and orange flower sit at the heart, but this is not the soapy heavy neroli of a traditional cologne; it stays green and airy. The drydown goes salty and woody, sandalwood and cedar with a mineral sea-salt quality, closer to a boat dock than a perfume counter.

Citrus fragrances usually pay for their brightness with poor longevity, and Flamango's whole design argument is that they do not have to. The woody, salty base holds on well past the point where a standard cologne has vanished. Expect a full workday out of it, with the fruit dominant for the first couple of hours and the salt and cedar version lasting the rest. That base is also exactly why it survives Miami. Humidity dilutes citrus quickly, so the grapefruit and orange do fade on schedule here, but they hand off to something that keeps working, which means you are not standing there with bare skin by two in the afternoon. It was built deliberately light rather than dense, so it never feels like it is sitting on top of you in the heat.
