Versace Eros Eau de Parfum 100ml

Cold mint and candied apple hit first, and for about ten minutes this reads like the Eros everyone knows from the blue bottle. Then it drops. The eau de parfum takes the same skeleton and pours warm, creamy leather and vanilla underneath it, so instead of staying bright and sharp it settles into something darker and closer to the skin. If the original Eros is the nightclub, this one is the ride home from it.

Eight to ten hours on skin is normal, and longer than that on a collar. Miami does something specific to this one. The mint reads as genuine relief for the first fifteen minutes when you step out of the car into 92 degrees, and then the humidity swallows it whole and pushes the vanilla-leather base forward hours earlier than it would in a dry climate. That is not a flaw, but it does mean two sprays here behave like four somewhere else. Projection is heavy through the first three hours and then tucks in close for the rest of the day, which is actually ideal once you are back in a room with the AC running.

Cooler months and night wear suit it best. It is loud for a 9am meeting in a small office. It is excellent for dinner in Brickell, for a date, for anything after sunset. Fall and winter are where it makes the most sense, though plenty of people in this city run it year-round at a reduced spray count.
